Kristen Fajgenbaum, MD, FAAD

Dr. Kristen Fajgenbaum, a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, joined Nashville Skin in September 2024. She is a Dermatologist with an interest in adult and pediatric medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.

Dr. Fajgenbaum was in the prestigious Robertson Scholars Leadership Program which allowed her to attend the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill (UNC) and Duke University for her undergraduate education on full scholarship. She graduated from Honors Carolina with the highest distinction.

While attending UNC School of Medicine, Dr. Fajgenbaum was selected as a Howard Holderness Distinguished Medical Scholar, allowing her to dedicate a year between her third and fourth year of medical school to dermatologic research.

After receiving her M.D. from UNC, Dr. Fajgenbaum completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. She then returned to Chapel Hill for a dermatology residency at UNC. Her peers and faculty members selected Dr. Fajgenbaum to serve as Chief Resident. Throughout medical school and residency, Dr. Fajgenbaum has presented at regional, national, and international meetings and published in several highly regarded journals including JAMA Dermatology. Dr. Fajgenbaum is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology.
