A. Brooke Eastham, MD

Dr. Brooke Eastham, a native of Jackson, Tennessee, joined Nashville Skin in July 2014. She is interested in general and medical dermatology in both adults and children and specializes in the treatment of connective tissue diseases as well as cosmetic and procedural dermatology.

Dr. Eastham graduated summa cum laude from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She then earned her medical degree from the University of Tennessee, where she was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and received the Faculty Medal for highest academic achievement. Dr. Eastham was the first medical student to receive the Hershel P. Wall, M.D. Exemplary Service Award in recognition of her dedication to leadership and community service.

Dr. Eastham completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. She then completed her dermatology residency at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts, where she trained at Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Children’s Hospital of Boston, Lahey Clinic, Boston Veteran Affairs Hospital, and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

During her residency, Dr. Eastham did additional training in the Connective Tissue Disease Clinic at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where she specialized in the diagnosis and management of lupus, dermatomyositis, pityriasis rubra pilaris, and many other multisystem diseases. While at Harvard, she also received extensive training in lasers and cosmetics, including treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers, and the use of lasers in the treatment of vascular anomalies, rosacea, scars, and skin rejuvenation.

Dr. Eastham has also published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented at several national and international meetings. She is board certified and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatologic Society, American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, Medical Dermatology Society, and the Rheumatologic Dermatology Society.
